"Death, the e'er present friend of all who are mortal. Ne'er know we when she shall come for us. Ne'er know we when she will come for our friends. So cover us now in the shround of sorrow. Till the mourning passes in the morrow." ~ Morria Giolla - 2005 Over the years there has been much written on this subject, mostly from the viewpoint of how to get over it and on with life. Yet, Death she never stops coming to visit us, when we least expect it. She never stops taking with her those we love. Why is it, if one grieves deeply in this present age, that they are looked at as morbid and not mentally sound? Let us now look at what Jesus tells us about mourning and death… Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death , I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Ecclesiastes 3:4 “ A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;” Ecclesiastes 7:1-4 ...
"I look towards the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD God, maker of Heaven and Earth." As we journey through the shadowlands, Along life's rough trails, Over the mesas and mountains tall, Only to see the valleys below... Are we looking towards the One Who knows the beginning from the end? Are we clinging to the Alpha and Omega, Who is our Daddy Father? Are we calling out to He Who guides us through life's shadows into Heaven's light? No matter where you are at on life's trails, call out to Jesus. He will meet you where you are at, and help you get to where you are going. In Umbra Terras, Lady Morria
In the stillness... In the quiet... In the times of rest... Between the saving and the calling... Between the calling and the serving... Between the promise and the healing... Sometimes, it is those times that can seem the longest. Stuck between the knowing and the going. Sometimes, it is those times of still when the roar dies down, that God's voice comes through the strongest. It is in those times... We stop. We listen. We learn. God is always there in the still small voice, if we but train our hearts to listen. Are you in one of those times? Lean deep into God, and may He guide you forward. Do you not know if God's, for Him to meet you in the stillness? Call us to Jesus to save you in the midst of everything, for He waits for you to call upon Him. And through it all, may we each hear the whisper of God through the stillness... In Umbra Terras, Lady Morria
