The Underground Wire exists to share awareness throughout the Christian Subculture & Underground Communities of what is happening throughout the Shadowlands.  This is a Wire about the communities for the community!

Sophie Lancaster: Murdered!

Sophie and her boyfriend, Robert, were both brutally attacked on August 11th in  Stubbylee Park in Bacup, Rossendale, Lancashire.
After fighting for life for 13 days, Sophie passed on August 24th, due to her severe head trauma from which she never woke.  
What is so shocking and horrifying for all of us is this happened purely because they were Goths!
Our prayers continue for Robert's recovery, for her family, and for all within the subculture communities facing attacks worldwide.

Outpost Updates:

Coventry -  The crew at the Coventry Mossion are very shaken by the death of Sophie, and are laying low for a time, unsure of what the future holds in terms of subculture persecutions.  They are still on hand to disciple those who are hurting and will be attending several of the local candlelight memorials in her honor.

Lebanon -  The ongoing bombings in Lebanon have forced many within the Lebanon outpost underground, for their safety and the safety of their families.  Pray for them, and that peace returns quickly.

Didean -  Morria, Robby, Jo, and the Didean crew are drawing close to the grand opening of the Outpost.  September 22nd @ 6 PM , they will be hosting a Candlelight Memorial in Honor of Sophie Lancaster at the Gazebo behind the Sedgwick County Historical Museum.  Be in prayer as they seek how best to continue serving their local area.

Indonesian Corner: Sumatra Earth Quakes
   
A 6.5 Earthquake has again rocked Indoesia, and the Broos' along with others from the churches in their areas are scrambling to gather supplies to help those in need.  Dave's sister was withing the effected area, and though she is unhurt, she had to move buildings due to the possibility of damage to where she lived.


Pray for the safety of all the relief workers, churches, and ministries coming to the aid of those in need.  Pray that within this time of great struggle, the Gospel would ring True in hearts as their Hope in the coming days.


Prayers & Praises

* URGENT:  For there to be no more violence to the Subculture communities, following the Death of Sophie Lancaster.  

* URGENT:  For those effected by the earthquake in Indonesia.

* URGENT:  For those within the danger zones of the Lebanese bombings.
 
* For wisdom as the Shadow Team guides the growth of Shaddow Cross

* For the gallant military men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan who will be serving in harm's way.

* For the outreach ministries of the Outposts, Bible Studies, and Antioch Bags.
 
* For the safety of our Latin American subculture brothers and sisters.  

* For those within the subcultures struggling with depression and deep hurt, for whatever reasons.
 
* For the wisdom of our Elders with in the Subculture community, inclueding Lady Michaela, GothMom Donna, Grandma Rose, Pastor Dave Hart, and David Dellman.

* For Bevin - Silhouette as she is in Japan as a college exchange student.

* For Phil - Shadow Poet's grades as he works to advance in college, as well as every other person who is in college.

* Praise: For the blessings of life!

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, Summer's heat has come back to the forests of Eastern Tennessee, along with smoke from the wildfires up north in Canada.  We have been blessed to get a beautiful raised bed garden in place for this summer. which is caring for our needs until we return to Dine' be Keyah to serve among the Native tribes, especially the Dine' ( Navajo ), the Cowboys, and reach out to the lost among the subcultures.  As of the start of the Year, Rob and Morria were appointed Missions Team Leaders at Circle C Cowboy Church, which is leading to awesome opportunities to continue partnering with Broken Arrow Bible Ranch, and other ministries which Circle C is partnered with.  Morria is still serving on the worship team, and Rob is an "Arena Cowboy" on the setup/take-down side of things.  Shaddow Cross: Desert Refuge Outpost is fully set up now in our temp HQ with both Rob and Morria having offices to focus on their branches of ministry, Rob - Cowboy C...

Desert Refuge Wire: Spring '23

  Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, Spring has come with her fresh blooms, warming temps, and bright sunshine.  Not that this spring has not come without her troubles.  Our Gold HHR "Traveller" is out of commission for the time being, and we are currently borrowing Rob's parents' spare truck.   That being said, we are still busy with Rodeo, Worship, and Circle C Church ministry. This late winter/spring, Rob and Morria have set up tables representing the church at several local rodeos. Work still moves forward on the return to Dine' bi Keyah, the American Southwest, slated for 2025.  Steps are being taken for training and preparation as we go forward, with more details coming soon!  Again, dear friends and family, we thank you for your prayers and support!
